A tribute to the Leader of the Band

Dad showed interest in the Onager from the very start - in fact he was involved in some early designing and research. Here we are testing one of the Onager scale models in 1995. He was always supportive, including providing some funding for Onager construction and for team t-shirts and hats.
Dad was a integral part of the Team. For many of our competitions he was unable to come himself, but he was always with us in spirit, and expected a full report when we returned. He was finally able to participate in the Florida Fling 2000.
Dad enjoyed life, and he was always fun to be with. Family was the thing he valued most, so carrying the name "Team Carbo" has always been an honor.
I feel that I owe a lot to my dad - he taught me the importance of hard work and being honest, the strength of family love, how to effectively think through problems, and how to design, build and create with tools. Dad, you will be missed greatly, but your legacy will live on.
