To find out more about Punkin Chunkin, it's history, and it's participants go to The Unofficial Punkin Chunkin Association Homepage. They were able to raise over $30,000 for charities with the 1998 World Championship Punkin Chunk.
Team Carbo and the Onager traveled 1200 miles to get to Morton, Illinois this September to be a part of their version of Punkin Chunkin. It was well worth the trip. To find out more about it, and their Pumpkin Festival check out their web site.

Be sure tio visit Siege-Engine.com the web site for Team Tormentum. They have built quite a variety of catapults , including the infamous Mista Balista. They also have some great pics of Punkin Chunkin.
Trebuchets, another type of catapult, are becoming quite the rage. A good place to learn more about them, and find some neat links is at the Grey Company Trebuchet page.

The Timber Framers Guild built a really nice Trebuchet for NOVA at the Highland Fling, where they were trying to see if Trebs could really destroy a "castle wall".
